This week found success in finding a lost sheep. 7 years
lost. We had previously talked to this woman on the street randomly one
evening and found out that she is a member of the church, but the phone
number she gave us to contact her with did not work and she never
replied to an email address she gave us nor did she write a hand-written
latter from her home address back to us. We had not an idea of whether
she existed, so we took the matter into our own hands to travel to the
treacherously beautiful city she lives in to find out if she existed.
The walk through Eifel-countryland ended with the fortunate news that
she and her husband in actuality live there and that he has interest in
what we have to share. The Lord truly does work in mysterious ways to
bring all his Children back to him.
The week was rather difficult compared to other
weeks in the near past. I never thought I would say this, but it is
quite fun to go door-to-door. We try to do mor effective methods of
finding people, but when it comes down to it... sometimes you just have
to do it! It is really fun. Having a door closed in your face is
actually not so bad. You just feel bad that someone is not willing or
desirous to learn about truths which have not been on the earth for a
long long time. Why would someone not want to learn lost truths? That's
the only hard part.
Apparently this transfer is only 5 weeks (they are
normally 6), so we are doing what we can to help the area here! My goal
is to bring a wonderful family back together in the Gospel as well as
inviting the spouses of some of them to take part of this glorious
truth! I am excited to see what we can do; or more like what the Lord
can do through us, His hands.
Read Preach My Gospel! And then go Preach His Gospel!!
