April 28, 2014

You know what feels really really good? Helping someone become active in their faith and attendance in the church again. It is really wonderful to re-kindle their desire to follow God on the paths he has paved for us to lead us back to him. We have a wonderful brother whom we have been working with who just got his temple recommend and has been coming back to church. We also had the chance to help another member who struggled coming to church with moving. We got to speak with his friend who was helping out, who is extremely prepared to hear the message of the Restoration of Christ's church, plus the member came to church! It feels really good to know that things we are doing are actually helping and making a difference.
You know what Satan hates? He hates when people find out that they can go to the source of pure truth to find answers. Anyone can get an answer from God and it will be correct. This week we have been challenging a good friend of ours to ask God himself if Jesus Christ is His son. Our friend is a little scared because he believes in Christ as a prophet, but not the son of God. If he were to pray and get the answer that Christ is His son our dear friend's perspective from his childhood on up would be flipped upsside-down! Of course that is scary! But like Elder Holland told us recently in General Conference, Christ is not necessarily a comfortable God. He speaks the truth which will lead us to salvation and eternal life, but of course that will take work! And ohhh it will be worth it.
I pray that our friend gets the courage to pray!

It is really a great blessing to work with the wonderful families and individuals we do. The opportunities are huge and the people are so full of love. I love the people here so much! Deutschland, ich liebe dich!

Members are still on fire with doing their parts as missionaries. We are loving it here! We are incredibly blessed to be able to experience so much joy during the work here!
Sei stark!

Liebe Grüße,
Elder Jack
