This
week we did service. A lot of it. Garden work and moving peoples'
belongings to a new home, and moving furniture in another home made for a
good week of service. The cool thing was that we were able to meet new
people through it; possibly one of the most sincerely good people I have
ever met. It was so cool! I am excited to meet with this guy and
introduce something extra that can only add to the love he has for life.
So cool.
We
enjoyed more than our fair-share of puffpuffs this week with the family
from Nigeria as well as getting to see a precious little girl be
baptized in the ward. Investigators at a baptism? Check. Spirit felt?
Double check. It was beautiful.
Oh,
and we were in Belgium this week. Whohoo!! I love love love working
with part-member families and helping take that "part" out of the
picture. It makes us all happy in an eternal way!
We
had a really cool spiritual time with a precious family in the ward
yesterday evening. They have struggled with setbacks in the family and
have regardless remained faithful to the church, but we felt that they
needed a little pick-me-up. It was cool because we went through everyone
in the family and pointed out gifts which each of them individually
has. The Spirit that was there was very strong and the love in the
family was very tangible. I think they felt encouraged and appreciated
through this spiritual thought. It was a very great moment.
The spirit is real and will help us if we let him!
Just loving being a missionary. It's the best thing in the world!!
Love,
Elder Jack
