Guess what the good news is?

Besides there still being no snow in Euskirchen and the weather already feeling warmer, it's the Gospel of Jesus Christ! We can feel a full joy and peace in our lives by knowing that the bad things are able to be put behind us. We can live forever in a glorified state of perfection. The God of the universe is our Father. He loves us.

Isn't that just WONDERFUL? I love sharing this message. People need it.

This week was seemingly a disappointment throughout because people kept canceling their appointments with us; something that is not entirely uncommon, but nervt me trotzdem. It can get sicouraging because then we do not always have a great backup plan. --I guess I know what we need to work on!

But the week was wonderful. WONDERFUL. Our neighbor set a baptismal date! He is planning on being baptized on the 8th of March. Ah, this man is so wonderful. He even got up in sacrament meeting yesterday (which he originally was not planning on coming to) and bore his testimony. Ah, wie schön das Leben ist!! We also had a beautiful lesson with a family. I love this family very much. We are often with them for service, dinner, and a spiritual thought. One member of the family is not a member of the church although his wife is. They do not go to church. We spoke about the wonderful blessing of the tmeple in our lives and how we know that families will be together forever when we take the steps necessary to get sealed in the temple. The Holy Ghost was there. It was magnificent to see the change in their faces as they were touched by our sincere words. I think the wife kindled a fire to become more active in the church and to work with her husband in order to someday go through the temple with him.

Life is so good.

Plus, we had a successful "go-by" on a former investigator who was in the records as having contact with the missionaries 10 years ago. We thought, "why not?" There was nothing suggesting that we shouldn't go, so we did. And it was the perfect time! Her son was there, which made it so that we could come in and teach. She welcomed us warmly and heard the entire message of the Restoration of the Gospel. She said at the end that she thought it was destiny that we came to her again. Needless to say, we are being carefully guided by the hand of the Lord. I am so grateful for him.

I'm going to eat some ice cream today to celebrate the joy the gospel can bring to people. Everyone deserves a nice reward on P-day, oder?

Much love to all you wonderful people who support me as well as the other missionaries in the world. Thank you so much. Prayers are being heard and answered.
Liebe Grüße, Elder Jack
